Cookeville Regional Wellness Path Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting

WellnessPathRibbonCuttingCOOKEVILLE – Cookeville Regional Medical Center recently held a grand opening event for all employees, staff and their families on Friday, May 17 to introduce the Cookeville Regional Wellness Walking Path.

“We’re opening a wellness path around the hospital,” said Angel Lewis, Senior VP of Human Resources at Cookeville Regional. “It is a one-mile loop that circles around the Cookeville Regional campus. This path was created to promote healthy lifestyles not only for our employees, but for their families and those who are visiting the hospital.”

The auxiliary volunteers at Cookeville Regional donated the Wellness Path sign that is outside the medical center’s main entrance, next to the Hospice Garden. Employees, their families and those visiting the hospital can visit the sign and see where the loop will take them. They can also pick up a map of the path to have with them as they walk. While walking along the path, there is signage to guide walkers along.

“Our employees are excited about this,” Lewis said.
